Dolores Huerta: Revolution in the Fields | Revolución en los Campos @ The Greeley History Museum
Greeley History Museum
714 8th Street
Greeley, CO 80631
This exhibit (from September 14 - December 2) shares the compelling story of legendary activist and leader Dolores Huerta and the farm workers movement of the 1960s and 70s. It is a quintessentially American tale of struggle and sacrifice, of courage and victory.
The exhibition, which features bilingual text (English-Spanish), explores Huerta’s public life as an activist and co-founder of the United Farm Workers Union (UFW), and what led her to become a Latina civil rights icon.
Exhibition organized by the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service in collaboration with the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery, Washington, D.C. This exhibition received federal support from the Latino Initiatives Pool, administered by the Smithsonian Latino Center.
