  • Nathan Meeker - town founder; murdered in the Meeker Massacre
  • E.S. Nettleton - engineer; designed the No. 2 & No. 3 ditches in town
  • Bessie Smith - Greeley's first female architect; designed the Coronado Building
  • Dr. Ella Mead - Greeley's first female doctor; in 1958 received Medical Woman of the Year Award from the National Medical Women's Association; had her office in the Coronado Building
  • Sidney Frazier - locally renowned architect; designed Greeley Junior High School at 811 15th Street, the State Armory at 614 8th Avenue, etc. George Gordon - local construction contractor
  • Daniel A. Camfield - Greeley's "Empire Builder"; actively involved in the development of irrigation in Colorado and the West, remodeled the Oasis Hotel and renamed it the Camfield Hotel; built the Camfield Court Building
  • Charles Hansen - Greeley Tribune publisher from 1913-1953; played an integral role in the development, construction and administration of the Colorado-Big Thompson transmountain diversion project
