Oktoberfest Volunteer Information
The 2008 Annual Oktoberfest event will take place Saturday, September 27, in Greeley Downtown at Lincoln Park. The OktoberPREfest will be Friday, September 26.
Volunteer Job Descriptions:
Beer Booth: Pour beer from taps for patrons. Must attend a brief training.
Break-down*: Break down canopies, chairs, 2nd stage and decorations.
Contest Activities: Assist with contest activities.
GEMcar Shuttle Drivers: Drive patrons between Oktoberfest at Lincoln Park and parking.
Greeters: Greet and direct patrons. Hand out Oktoberfest brochures/flyers.
ID Booth: ID attendees, distribute wristbands, mugs and beer tokens. Must attend brief training.
Information Booth: Check-in vendors. Help with general information and merchandise sales.
Kid's World: Assist is children's activities.
Token Sales: Sell beer tokens.
Trash Pick-Up*: Gather trash from trash cans, to dumpster, add new bag.
Set-Up: Set-up canopies, chairs, 2nd stage and decorate.
Stage Assistants: Main stage assistant welcomes bands, assists bands, assists in access to Gazebo, and instructs MC. 2nd Stage Assistant welcomes bands, assist bands, and assists in access to stage.
Vendor Management: Greet vendors, show them their spaces, handle requests and complaints.
Volunteer Check-In/Support: Make sure volunteers know where to go. Check in with volunteers to make sure they have water and seating if needed.
Wine Booth: Pour wine for patrons.
